Join a team that thrives on being the best!
We are always seeking motivated and talented people to join our team at Sanderson Concrete!
With consistent growth comes opportunities! When you join Sanderson Concrete, you’re part of an incredibly strong team. We are a small group of Cementheads – call us crazy, but we love concrete!
If you love concrete, too, or you would like to explore a new career in the precast concrete industry, we want to talk to you! With an extensive product line that includes parks, furniture, stair treads, cemetery products and even games tables – yes! We make a concrete foosball table! – every day brings something new at Sanderson Concrete. We aspire to create the impossible for our customers!
What do we do here? A little bit of everything!
Production at Sanderson Concrete includes carpentry, welding, rebar fabricating and tying – we make all our own forms as well. We have three mould shops – our forms can be steel, wood, fibreglass and even rubber! We also polish our concrete as well as sandblast it and seal it.
Then the fun happens! We mix our own concrete, pour it in our forms – and vibrate the concrete with both stick vibrators and vibrating tables. Forklift and loader operators mix with the fabrication teams and packaging side – both in the plant and in the yard where our dedicated yard staff deal with plant managers, fellow production staff members as well as truck drivers and sometimes the general public.
General labour positions have the opportunity to grow into concrete finishing and patching. Don’t have any concrete experience? That’s okay! We are always on the lookout for great team members – and our team at Sanderson Concrete is willing to train, but having at least some carpentry or landscaping experience is an asset. You may start with operating a broom or a shovel and learn to fill concrete forms – who knows, by the end of your first week, you could be part of the team that is making ping pong tables and benches for one our BC Parks!
Concrete is heavy – so you have to be fit to work here. But we also use large equipment – forklifts, wheel loaders and overhead cranes. You will always be provided proper training – we are fanatics about safety here at Sanderson Concrete – and steel-toed boots and hardhats are mandatory.
